Products

A plant ionizer is a device that can reduce PM2.5 significantly by emitting high concentrations of negative air ions (NAIs) to the surrounding. Negative air ions are oxygen ions that have an extra electron attached and occur naturally in nature. This is part of the reason why the air near natural water sources (rivers, streams, oceans, waterfalls, forests) feels great.

Zero2.5 Plant Ionizers generate million times more negative air ions (NAIs) than a normal plant would at plant source. This converts one plant into million plants, bringing forest air to users.

High concentrations of negative air ions are more effective in cleaning air. Airborne pollutants that contribute to PM2.5 will become charged and stick to nearby surfaces, thereby removing them from the air.

In studies conducted by Zero2.5 and third parties, the ozone measured at the Plant is within normal background levels and far below safety limits. We are unable to detect any additional ozone beyond what naturally exists in the air.

Air purifier is a loose term, any product that can reduce dust particles, animal hair, soot, bacteria and germs can be considered as an air purifier. Traditional air purifies clean the air by passing air through a mechanical filter. Plant Ionizers work by generating negative air ions that cause airborne pollutants to stick to nearby services. This removes them from the air and makes them more readily cleaned through standard wiping of surfaces. The Plant Ionizer is particularly effective at removing ultrafine particles that we can’t see but very apparent once they are captured.

Our default plant is snake plant, it is non-toxic and safe for pets and children. We do recommend not touching the Plant Ionizer when not it’s actively on and cleaning. There is a minor static generated on the leaves.

Setup

You can place the plant at areas where you would like the air to be cleaner. Some ideal places are, on a table beside you when you sleep, your study area where you work, or in the living hall.

It is important to note when Plant Ionizers come into direct contact with other surfaces, the system becomes grounded and inhibits emission. For the small Plant Ionizers (SP2800 series), it is advised to place the plant at least 0.5m away from the walls to avoid touching these surfaces. For SP4000 series, please place the plant at least 1m away from the walls.

For safety reasons, please place plant ionizer at least 1m away from electronics so as to not interfere with performance. Avoid using if user wears pacemakers.

When properly ON and emitting, the LED light on the stimulator device will be green. You can also purchase our in-house PM2.5 counters to measure PM2.5 levels before and after using plant ionizer.

Device can be turned on throughout the day, but we recommend only turning it on when you are in the vicinity of the ionizer.

Plant Maintenance

Our default plants are snake plants. They are very hardy in any kind of indoor/outdoor environment. It should be able to survive many years given adequate care.

For safety reasons, please place plant ionizer at least 1m away from electronics so as to not interfere with performance. Avoid using if user wears pacemakers.

If leaves of the plant turn soft, it may be due to overwatering/ underwatering or just part of the plant aging process, check if the soil is wet or dry by poking your fingers into the soil to check and dry out/water accordingly. Remove dead leaves as soon as possible as dead leaves will not revive, and fight for nutrients with other parts of the plant. Don’t worry, new leaves will grow out, it’s a natural process of growing plants.

We offer exchange of plants within 7 days of issue of receipt. Otherwise, you may refer to our plant troubleshooting guide or purchase another snake plant to replace.

Troubleshooting

Plant ionizer is overloaded and not performing to optimally. Please check if the leaves are touching nearby surfaces. Ensure that the bottom of the pot is dry.

Plant ionizer is switched on and emitting negative air ions at optimal performance.

Plant ionizer is working hard to reduce PM2.5 in your space. Airborne particles become negatively charged and stick to nearby surfaces, causing these surfaces to darken. It is a natural phenomenon that will occur over time as the particles are removed from the air we breathe. The collected particles can be removed by wiping with a damp cloth. We recommend wiping the surfaces nearby every 2 weeks to keep the area clean.

Another potential reason is that the pot is over-watered. This can be checked by observing the water level window at the bottom of the pot. One-third to one-half filled is plenty. After turning the plant ionizer off, if the soil is wet to the touch, this could also indicate the pot is over-watered. To release the water from the reservoir, simply remove the rubber stopper on the underside of the pot. Remember to do this over a sink or other container.

As a final step to check the ionizer, turn the power off and remove the clip from the pot. Hold the white casing of the ionizer and turn the power on. If you observe a green LED, that shows the pot might be over-watered.

We currently operate primarily in Singapore. For ex-Singapore deliveries, we can help look into the additional shipping costs, which will be the responsibility of the buyer. Due to shipping limitations, we are unable to ship the plant and soil overseas. Please feel free to reach out for more specific inquiries.

We commit to ship your order within 1 – 5 business days once you’ve placed your order.

Alternatively, you can choose to pick up your online order at Zero2.5 office. Your order will usually be ready for pickup within 1 – 5 business days. You'll receive a notification email when your item is available to pick up. Please wait for this email before coming to the office. Our office is open on Mondays to Fridays, from 9am to 6pm, excluding public holidays.

If you have received a product which you did not order or a damaged/defective product, please do not remove any tag or take out the product from the original packaging. Please call us at +65 6872 7725 and send us an email at customerservice@zero2-5.com as soon as you found the goods to be faulty/damaged. Please attach the picture(s) of damaged product(s) received and proof of purchase (i.e. order confirmation/tax invoice and delivery order) in order to expedite the process.

Product must be deemed faulty or defective by our Technical Team within three (3) business days of delivery in order to receive a replacement unit. This may include inspection of the goods, arranging for the goods to be sent for repair, or providing you with a replacement. We reserve the right to reject any return, exchange, refund deemed unfit or unreasonable.

Replacement: The same product that you ordered will be shipped to you at Zero2.5’s expense. We will contact you within 1 – 2 business days with the replacement product delivery time, and the process to return the defective/faulty product.

Warranty

Zero2.5 pots are covered for 3 months from date of invoice.

Electronic parts are covered for 12 months from date of invoice.
